Kertha Gosa
Kerta Gosa is a building complex or court hall inherited from the Semarapura Palace (1686-1908) and was still functioning during the Dutch colonial rule (1908-1942). In this complex there are still at least three objects remaining from the Semarapura Palace, namely Bale Kerta Gosa, Bale Kambang with the Taman Gili pool, and the Palace Gate. Apart from that, on the west side there is the Semarapura Museum building with a European architectural style (Balisering) which was previously a former Dutch school.
The Kerta Gosa building has existed since 1700 AD. This can be known based on the Çandra Çangkala year number which is above the entrance to the Kerta Gosa complex. The Çandra Çangkala is in the form of Cakra, Yuyu, Paksi-paksi, which is worth 1661 Saka or around 1700 AD. This year’s figure coincides with the reign of King Dewa Agung Jambe, and it is said that the name Kerta Gosa was given by him.
