Ulun Danu Beratan

Pura Ulun Danu Beratan / Pura Penataran Agung Ulun Danu Beratan is one of the nine Khayangan Jagat temples that surround the island of Bali. This temple is a place used by Hindus in Bali and Indonesia to worship the Almighty God in his manifestation as “Tri Murti ” (Brahma, Vishnu & Shiva) in their hopes for the fertility of the land, prosperity and human welfare, including for the preservation of the universe. Historically, Ulun Danu Beratan Temple was built by “I Gusti Agung Putu” the first King of Puri Mengwi in the Saka Year 1556 (1634 AD).
